Chicago Maker Space

Rick Yorde Jr is a maker, teacher, story teller, and business manager.

Ricks’s goal is to provide access to woodworking and entrepreneurship to all who are interested and help create the facilities necessary to do so.

Rick has 50+ years of woodworking, designing, and craftsman experience as well as 20 years as a college woodworking instructor. Rick has his Masters of Fine arts in Theater Design, and has worked as a union cabinetmaker in Chicago for 8 years.  When he’s not at the Chicago Maker Space designing and building furniture, you can find him teaching classes with the Taoist Tai Chi Society.
